I just setup the WP7 Developers tools and Visual Basic add-in for Visual Studio 2010 on two workstations. One my desktop, I received the error “Zune Software is not installed. Install the latest version of Zune software” when I tried to debug my application. Being 5 hours removed from my morning coffee, it left me scratching my head for about 5 minutes. I forgot to change the deployment target from “Windows Phone 7 Device” to “Windows Phone 7 Emulator”. I don’t have a Windows Phone so being that one wasn’t plugged in the target received an error until I changed it to target the emulator. After that, all fixed.
